Do I have to file I-485 though a lawyer or can I do it myself. I have an old I-485 form that my lawyer filled out and he sent me a copy of but he never filed it to immigration. Can I update that old form he gave me and file an updated I-485 myself without a lawyer??

They could have mentioned need US Citizens with clearance, or people elligible to apply for clearance. May be the choice of words wasn't good... Regardless, this could occur more too... if the economy does not improve. Anyway, I think IBM should not have any problem with EAD and they themselves do sponsor GC, etc..

I already reported this to ICE about violations of CTS which has placed their L1's at client's place for the past 2 years. And still they have several people.
You may not believe their pay. I do not want to put a number here and it will be a shame on CTS for misusing L1. They replaced 18 American Workers at my client's pace. Whatever you guys might think, this is a FRAUD.

We know EB2 - I dates have not moved since Oct ,2010 .
So India regular quota for the last six months : 5800/2 = 1900 .
Since dates have not moved, I am assuming 1900 should also be considered towards porting.
so my conclusion is so far 1200 + 1900 = 3100 porting already took place. (though only 1900 really got GC)

I have taken an infopass tomorrow to get the I-551 stamp on my passport. Once that is done I will be mailing out the form I-90 for replacement.

But do not waste energy and aggressivness on citizenship related things. It rather damages the effort, just by adding citizenship related things.
It is as equal as what happened in the past, that adding illegal and legal based reform in teh single capsule blowed out everything and no benefit came out finally.

I already have called all the members of House Judiciary Committee. Some of them, I called second time last Friday.

You are on the right track....Again no need to thank me....the help in the forum is mutual...I had gained strength from it and I'll reciprocate in every possible way...I am not one to vanish from the forum once I am done and see you guys waiting......well experience with USCIS is like a psychological trauma...it stays long and being a scorpio I can't forget things at all especially injustices....So I'll be there along the way for all you guys....and help you in whatever way I can......
That being said every case is different and gloom and doom scenario should not take over your spirits....I am a cynic by birth and see the glass always half empty but once thing that is different for me is that I never give up......and neither should any of you guys however bad the situation is....be a cynic be a pessimist be a paranoid if you can't help but BE PERSISTENT and UNRELENTING...

I got one more email with the update (this is third email with the same staus "CPO"). This time I have SLUD on EAD and AP also. Here is the email...

On September 14, 2010 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

By the way, I have been using Vonage for 5 years now and it is a great company.
FYI...I heard from some of my friends that Vonage is good as long as you are its customer. Once you call CS and tell them you are leaving...they play all sorts of dirty tricks.

I keep reading from the forums that some apps with PDs as late as Dec 2004 and a couple of Jan 2005 got approved. Wondering why the earlier (eg. mine is July 04) not approved yet. Could we all join togther and write a letter to Napolitino(Thanks to SoP for the idea) and ask her to take some action on our cases?
