No matter how bad an employer is, one should inform before quiting...atleast one day in advance!
Bring IRS in to picture, let them deal these kind of cases...U should be OK in getting W2
Don't worry about losses and cases, it will cost him more if he gos to court.
He sent me an email to pay $3500, do you think he will go legal for this, I did not sign any contract with him.
If he goes to court will i loose(he may create documents) or will i be in trouble if he wins the case.
Please suggest.

Talked to an io at neb sc.within 5 sec of me starting to talk the ffice interuppted and she apologosed for doing that and said because of huge vol of appli there is a delay in the receipt notice.i SAID I AM july 2 nd filer and she said it might be in the first week of aug..(i had said the same thing in my earlier post too after i spoke toa diff officer)..She asked to keep checking the check clearnace.

There is a HUGE difference between being TOLERATED and BEING LIKED.
I am sure you have the intelligence to see the difference.
You can "tolerate" someone you don't like, but you can not "welcome" someone whom you don't like. I for one, donlt want to be in the "tolerated" category.
And may I ask, what exactly is your definition of hostility? Being chased down the street by a bunch of thugs, who think you should be in their country, or the kind of passive hostility being practised as of now?
You are free to go back to your home land if you feel like you are not welcomed here.

Transit Visa need to Travel Via-Germany if you don't have valid Visa or Travelling on AP.
Please who are travelling Via---> Germany should hold Transit visa, if they don't have Valid US Visa or using AP.
I believe this rule came recently, please see below link of German Consulate Website for more information.
German Missions in the United States - Transit Visa Country List (http://www.germany.info/Vertretung/usa/en/04__Legal/02__Directory__Services/01__Visa/__Transit__Country__List__Visa.html)
This applies to people who are going to India to get Visa at Consulate in India too.
If any one is Travelling Visa- Germany (Frankfurt/Munich etc) please take necessary steps.
And this is new and most of the passengers/Airport people might not be aware, better be safe than sorry later.

It seems people who revoked AC21 during pre-GC stage, can continue to change employers in the post-GC phase. The confusion is for the people who stayed with their employers throughout the GC process. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I am currently on H1B visa and I want to switch the company. New company is not willing to do H1B transfer and want me to work on EAD. I have pending I485 EB3 ROW with priority date of March 2006. Its been more than 180 days that I filed for I485 so I can use AC21 with EAD.
But my question is how risky will it be if I switch job at this stage with EAD?

According to LC, my labor got approved on Aug 9th, but we received actual paper on Sep 9th .. So lost the chance to FILE 485
DOL took more than a month TO send papers ..
There is no point in blaming IV . They are the BEST ..
It is US Govt agencies who are lazy and ineptitude.
US did not get Civil Rights in one year .. it took decades of fight ...
IV is fighting for every one ..

Are you suggesting to be on H1 if you don't complete 6 years? In my case i have been on h1 for 4.5 years....i have EAD....I may use EAD because if my 485 rejected then i can fall back on H1 (by going out of country or something else)...
I am suggesting that you talk to an attorney regarding questions on how to go to H1 status from EAD status.
I dont know how that is done, and I am not even sure that the possibility of such a status change depends on exhaustion of 6 year limit of your H1.
Please speak with an attorney so that you can make the right decision.

We got FP notices for me & my wife on 01-25-08. Finger printing date is Feb 6th, 2008. Same date, same time for both of us. Just perfect!
We filed our I-485 application/EAD/AP on July 6th, 2007.
Ours is a transferred case (NSS-CSC-NSC).
Did not open any service request.
Looks like they started processing transferred cases.
People who have been waiting should be getting their FP notices now.

on friday when i went for my code 2 fingerprinting for my ead, i was the only one there for greencard/ead type biometrics.
everyone else, atleast 50-80 people were there at the same time for their N-400 (citizenship) biometrics.
i think they are processing the citizenship applications with full speed to lower the 18 month processing timeframe. everyone over there was a pre July 31st filer, when the citizenship fees increase took place.
We filed our I-485 application/EAD/AP on July 6th, 2007.

Is my H-1b still valid. I have scheduled travel on August 15'th 2008 via London (LHR). I believe, London airport does not allow any one with out proper visa's and documentation.
Does GC approval triggers automatic canellation of H1-B visa ( which is valid until Dec 2010)
How can I start another GC process , when they just approved a GC ( on August 06, 2008)
