How would it be to forward the media coverage links to all the attorneys so that they are aware of what is happening and also provide some kind of support or atleast get associated with IV. Also some members may take the initiative of posting these links to thier blogs so that every one will get to know about the IV through others blogs.

I have heard of the TERM 'Interfiling' to port your priority date from EB3
to EB2. This i hear happens when your 485 is pending with USCIS and
you have an EB2 labour with current PD date. So you transfer the PD using Interfiling.
Any one any thoughts or have you done this ?

Not sure why you need it? But I guess you gotta start a new process (Pre-Labor Work incl. ads+Labor EB2+I140,etc.) from the beginning.

My attorney originally applied for my labor (regular process) in late spring 2006 but due to another issue we decided to expedite (premium process) in early winter 2006. Question is, is early spring my PD or early winter of 2066? (Sorry don't have the exact dates in front of me).

Let us talk about the "skills" introduced by H1/L1/offshore companies
a) One guy takes the phone interview for 15 other guys with "skills" they preted to have
b) Lying on the resume with "skills" that you don't have, so that you can learn the "skill" at the expense of the client
c) "Skill" in Violating B1 visa laws and sending people on B1 to do actual work to client
d) "Skill" in violating L1 law which is used to drive down the wages by 20-30%
e) "Skill" demonstrated by indian offshorers to enter into a contract with a large corporation where they will provide warm bodies in exchange for a very low billing rate. Client wouldn't have any ability to interview the incoming cosultant, which means the offshorer employee is learning at the expense of the foolish client. Then that will be touted as "savings".
f) "Skill" of fly-by-night operators to shave off 70% of the billing rate through a 6-level pyramid of contracting companies
Should I add to this list of "skills" further?

How come there is pending cases in 2007, 2008 and 2009 for EB2 and EB3 India?
From the PDF I see the following

2007 after july fiasco - 559
2008 - 178
2009 - 9

My understanding is that the visa bulletin were never open for priorty dates from Aug 2007 to till date....EVER..
I may be missing something..

Thanks for you encouraging email. My senator's rep. said that my case was assigned to an IO on Sep 21st. Are you sure that it takes 10-30 days(only) once the app is with an IO? May I know how are you so sure about this? Did any NCS rep tell you this time-frame? I only hope what you said comes true.
Also, I have sent 7001 late last week. Is there a # to contact obmudsman's?

Yes please. Talk to owners first. Once you get them onboard they will make sure that the sign stays there.
Remember: NumbersUSA faxed the senate offices one million times when CIR was being considered. We have to do more than them this time, as they are twisting the facts (Same way Mr. Dobbs of CNN does): Here is a quote from Numbers USA website:
....The bill�s sponsor, Immigration Subcommittee Chairman Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif), claims it would �recapture unused employer-sponsored visas� from as far back as 1991 and then add them to the current numerical cap of 140,000 employer-sponsored visas that are available each year. If you look at the profile of the members who voted yes in this poll. They all have EB2 PD from June 2006 to 2007 except one or two. These guys will never understand the wait of a 2001 or 2002 filer. They dont know what it means to wait in limbo for years.

On September 25, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
and for my husband it says

On September 24, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. Keep up the good work
I am upto 14 letters signed, sealed and mailed to the President. I am waiting on a few more to come....It took probably an hour over the past week. Guess what...in the process I educated over 20 Americans about our issues. Guys this can have a cascading effect if we talk to people we know and get these letters. We all need to step up and actively talk to all Americans we know and get these letters. They are our support bank when its time for larger fixes and we need Americans to call their Congressman & Senators to help us.
Talk to EVERYONE you know and get a letter signed. It would be great if everyone mentioned the number of letters they have got when they put out posts on this thread. Lets not just talk the talk but WALK the TALK!!!:D

I do not want to spoil the fun and do truely appreciate the efforts by the IV team. But after sitting in the GC queue for 7 years, all my hopes nearly dead. Campaigns come and go but nothing ever happens.

So what is the likelyhood that dates move more than a month and what date could it reach to, with the may bulletin? I'm Oct 06 EB2 :-)

"interfiling" to use old EB3 PD for new EB2 is not the easiest path for EB3-I guys specially if they have used AC21 and work on EAD now ( Most of us are in this category). Priority date porting is not an issue, USCIS does not have a problem with that. The problem is with "Job definition and level". While one use AC21 claims job position matching EB3 job classification and if there no enough progression gap between AC21 usage and "inerfiling" It becomes hard for a lawyer to convince USCIS that fellow is matching EB2 capability under same job classification. Hundred of such intefilings are waiting without no action from USCIS. My lawyer's advice wait till we logically can establish the skill progression, in other words minimum 3 years of wait from the day AC21 usage. And other important thing is "real promotion" in position should happen at employment and this whole explanation is based on assumption of employment at the same employer. If you change employment inbetween after AC21 usage and before interfiling , your 3 years wait cycle starts from new emploment date. I have not filed "interfiling" just because of these reasons and waiting for correct time to do that. In other words Eb3-I is really and badly screwed.\
