Same is the case when i try to view those two threads from office.From home i am able to view thouhg.
The reason you cannot see from work is because of the privacy settings of your browser in IE. Set you browser privacy setting to low to accept all cookies and also in your security settings set add IV to the trusted sites.
Do this and you are set to spend all the free time at work browsing IV and waiting for your approval.... good luck :)

Is there any way to distinguish contributing members from non-contributing members when they post on forums ... something like adding a field to "Join date", etc. to show whether they are contributing. This will at least persuade some members to contribute out of shame...

EAD paperfiled with Dallas LOckbox. Reached last Sunday 4/18. Checks havent cleared yet. Forgot to attach the additional form for notification so I guess Just have to wait for check clearance or actual receipt notice

Your letter nor the proposed drft amendment to CSPA does not talk about the children of parents who applied their GC under employment based category and got stuck in the Labor Card approval stage for years and when labor got approved and I140 also got approved then again stuck due to Visa retrogression. We must include injustice being done to these children and should ask for retrospective amendment to CSPA to provide relief.
If you are in Illinois are you near enough to try and meet with Richard Durbin, he professes to caring about the children of illegal immigrants. Maybe he needs to put a face to a situation of the forgotten children of legal employment based adjustees to push him into realizing they even exist and he does them an injustice with his DREAM act.
I am a parent of an aged out child. It sucks, quite frankly. Never sure what to say to him when this issue is discussed. I would be happy to become more active on this issue.
How many of us are on this site, does anyone know. Each of us trying to work individually is not going to be as effective as a joint effort.

I got my passport renewed from Houston in 12 working days. I had sent my passport on 12/11/07 ,which has reached to houston 12/12/07 11 AM. I got my paasport renewed by fedex on 12/27/07. What a service . I guess there are working better now

Most of us are missing the point here. The bill is aimed at those immigrants who have obtained advanced degrees in the US. And believe me, there are lot of aspiring immigrants who have been waiting since 2002-2003 who also happen to have American degrees, most of them stuck with EB3. Priority Dates will still be in play. Most probably, there will be a new category. These additional visas will help clear up backlogs irrespective of your current visa category. If you have a US degree and your PD is current, you will be eligible. Not sure what the confusion is about :)

I agree there is lot of injustice to applicants stuck in pre perm system. But with elimination of LC substitution and a timeline of 45 days between LC and 140,
tons of pre perm applications after approved will go nuts becoz the candidates have already left the employers .
I am sure that dates will remain current in August also. I believe INS will give EAD and will let all wait for GC therefore needs to go to Parole. Once you are in AP, that means, you all are golden eggs laying ducks to INS everyyear.
One +ve plus for is , DESI companies are gone and we can change jobs but its premium price for lot of guys for years to pay .

Hopefully you'll get your PERM approved well before that. As soon as you get your PERM approved, make sure you file for your 140 under premium processing. IMHO, it's well worth the $1000 extra.

Its awesome - I dare trying unknown Indian restaurants because either they serve too spicy or too light and the taste is different than Real Indian. But this was authentic taste of Indian Food.
Myself and Dilip ate that Indian food before meeting Senator Kerry's office. Mohit and Kishore had Mexican food but they saw the Indian food all the time.
No wonder the overall meeting with 4 of us was really good :) :)

Pappu and me stopped at Union Stn for lunch on the way back after the rally. We were both physically drained and famished. Our jaws dropped when we spotted a desi restaurant there. You all should have seen how we attacked the food !

I am on H1 with 485 pending. Now that I can file for my wife's EAD, If she starts working on EAD do I need to also give up my H1 and start working on EAD?

Guys the Satyagraha and Anthem are good ideas and can be implemented. There is no shortage of good ideas.
The shortage is of people who will participate and do things. Less than 50 have registered so far.
Of course you understand talking face to face with lawmakers in large numbers is the best way to convey our ideas. Why are we talking about mails when the goal of this thread is to meet them ?
Agreed. Lets focus on getting people to the event. In my opinion, and with past experience, it takes a lot of rallying, babysitting, cajoling, positively motivating people constantly and consistently for people to make up their minds.
Very few people will be fully motivated and do things by themselves. We need to put in a lot of effort in making people believe they are capable, worthy and have the ability and power to change their own lives.

I opened an SR on 08/03/2010 and i see a Soft LUD on my case today but no status change.
Is this something normal or i am about to be greened?
Please share your experience.

If your PD is current, I would suggest to go ahead and create a SR, give it shot.
I have opened a SR on 8/3/2010 and my case (including my wife) approved today i.e 8/6/2010.
