I don't understand about this fees.. I mean, you guys would have spent that money anyway. You may be loosing money for medical examination because it may expire. But the rest is something you would have done anyway.. I don't understand the logic of this thread..
Had we know that this was going to happen, at least for July 4 week, we would have planned a vacation and then used that money that we spent.

Yes I got it, after clearing the cookies, I closed that instatnce of browser and opened again from new browser and it worked for me.

I haven't posted anything so far...hopefully my predictions comes true :-)
This is a wishful thinking. Since there is a lot of pending cases for March...clearing March logs will take time. We have to expect a baby step unless a miracle happens.

Brush up your General Knowledge, look around you. If you see, there is a priority date on my post - Infy does not sponspor GC's, atleast not with those priority dates in EB2 category. Can you deduce what that implies?
You are thinking only about the small percentage of "lost Indians" (including me) who are in this mess - if you really think about your motherland (and mine), help guys like NRN get a good infrastructure in place. By ridiculing him, what are you trying to say? had you been in his place, what would you have done? Settle here immediately, and launch a daily "freighter" to bring all Indians to US? Unfortunately this bill seems to be a total fight between Senate v/s house, Demo v/s Repub, Repub v/s repub. Like Senator Specter said, there is almost No common vision.
Still a little confused about what the actual stance is right now with Sen Frist's bill. Are they going to go ahead with the Frist bill or is the Senate Judiciary committee going to prevail?

in my case, i can tell you that i found CSC to be faster in processing EAD and AP then NSC or TSC. just look at my details below.
the only disadvantage is that it will take a while for FP appointment.
still have not received mine.

you can get medicals in 2 hours.
Not sure if this is chicago/pittsburgh.
your only option is to find out by calling all numbers in chicago and pittsburgs.
People have flown in from various locations into chicago and got medicals in 2 hours.
also, ask your wife to get the immunization record of mmr and tetanus.
that will make your life easier.
x-ray is mandatory.

I also work in a IT consulting position but still decided to go ahead and buy a home in St Louis back in September 2007. My 485/EAD/AP was filed in August 2007 and EAD approved a few weeks back. However despite my current situation, I believe buying a home was a wise decision considering the kind of lifestyle and security it provides for you and your family. I know a lot of my friends who decided to take the plunge and bought houses though they were working on H1 and have their GCs pending for a few years.
Taking a plunge now on EAD is like drowning yourself. prices have not yet come down and will come down by 15-20 % over 5 years. there is talk about recession , job losses and more foreclosures. if you dont need the space ...DONT BUY. most of us dont need more space unless we have 2-3 grown kids who need their own rooms. renting is not same as throwing away money as you get a place to live. how does buying a home give you security ..it is more of a hassle if you are on EAD or H-1 and you need mobility after a job is lost. my friend who has good worldly experience rightly said ..buying a house now is like worrying about one more thing in life.

Discover does not issue a credit card if you are not a PR or citizen..even though you have good credit history..
That is not true at all. Discover was the FIRST to isssue me a Credit card as a student and to this date no problems.

Take Infopass appointment to relieve your anxiety little bit . I took infopass on Aug 8 to know what is happening to my I-485
What do you say about your problem when you take InfoPass. You can't take an appointment to just ask what is happening to your case, unless several months have passed after all sorts of dates.

thanks for your supportive words for CP filers now CP filers need some relief as they are not able to get an EAD/AC21. I think we could ask to allow CP filers to file 485 with out having dates current and conserdering their CP filing date to get EAD and AC21.

Dude you can convert from CP to AOS even after filing for CP. Your CP can be canceled. Vise-versa is more complicated. Even murthy.com had some write up on this. Go search their website.
Talk to a lawyer and stop cribbing here. Your situation is nothing different from others.
