Guys, Are we sure that Fedex will not deliver on saturday or sunday, what will happen if they deliver, nobody will be at USCIS to accept right, so it will still be opened only on monday ?
IUnless id you selected Saturday delivery as special service Fedex wont deliver it on saturday . USICS is sure closed on saturday unless the mail room guy wants some overtime( assume he was a contractor as USICS is employing more contractor these days for the sorting work) and comes on saturday

I dont think it's true, I saw these rates are under international calling plan, so we are not signing up to that plan, so I would strongly believe that all cell phone calls are included to India, the same thing you can see when we click on the 60 countires list.....so find out with the tech support guys and keep update here to get the accurate answer on this...

Report indicates that the Republican National Committee voted on 01/20/2006 to back the Bush's call for a guest-worker program, and adopted a resolution that calls for continued "legal immigration," criticizes illegal immigration and endorses a "new work program for foreign workers," but states there should be "no amnesty for those persons presently in the United States illegally." There are several Comprehensive Immigration Reform bills pending in the Senate. The Senate is expected to return to the Hill next month and the specific agenda for the debate of these conflicting bills have yet to be announced by Sen. Bill Frist. He previously announced that these bills would be tabled for the debate in February. Please stay tuned to this website for the upcoming comprehensive immigration reform debates in the Hill. These bills are expected to bring a reform in the employment-based immigration increasing the employment-based immigrant visa numbers substantially. I have a few theories on this. This is meant just to open discussion.
1) The USCIS and State department are not communicating at all. This is not at all uncommon within gov't agencies as we all know.
The State Dep't released the bulletin perhaps without realising the full ramifications. Having heard from the USCIS..........hey hey hey what the F&^% are you doing? They may have realised over the last few weeks what a mess they have on their hands. Now they are trying to undo it.
2) Another possibility I can think of, is that this is a grand plan(heck I almost said grand bargain) concocted by the USCIS to get 485s OUT of the system as much as possible while minimising those that can get IN. Hence you might see in the coming few weeks thousands of approval letters all dated the 2nd of July. That will allow them to clear their backlogs of pre-approved, approvable cases and clean the slate fresh for the new fees structure/new quota in the new year. Some of you might remember they retrogressed to unavailable around this time 2 yrs ago. They do these weird things in the 4th quarter.
3) Of course the last option is their brains have the same IQ as that of any common critter that messes up your garden.
Pick your poison, it is all the same. I feel for everyone whose hopes were raised so high. It is truly inhumane of them. If they planned this, they should atleast have delayed the release of the July VB.
I tend to believe the CIR angle to this. Since, teh time CIR has failed, these Rumours have surfaced.....

The fact is there aren't enough quality resources to be picked from GC/Citizen pool. That is the reason companies are willing to deal with complex immigration laws for hiring a non-immigrant worker....
I agree with you. If the employee is good, most companies (my workplace included) sponsor H-1B visa to get the resource. However, in the current market environment, the available supply of resources outnumbers the job demand.
So many people on H-1B/EAD/GC are looking for job. On the other hand, companies are under tremendous pressure to reduce the cost. Its common to see forced unpaid leave (furlough) for employees.
The current recession is far worse than 2001-2002 recession, in my opinion.

I dont think it will affect your GC at all. But it will greatly affect your credit history. That being said....foreclosure probably is the easily viable option when you have a large negative equity & have to sell the house.

The problem with IV core is they want to solve all the problems at once...which never going to happen... I really do not understand why they are not making this as an Action item and raise donations. let us make this sri1309 letter final and start sending it to congress (house, sensate members)

Finished calling all in the list. Generally the response from Dems was better, I felt good after talking in Dem's offices.

These assumptions marked in red are incorrect. ROW has been consolidated into 1 category to simplify the visa bulletin. ICMP countries exceed the quota, that's why they have separate entries. If another country exceeds the quota U.K. for example, then it'll have it own column in the visa bulletin. The quota for EB-ROW is 40K - per country limit for ICMP for that category X 4. That's why EB3 India has been getting screwed ever since they re-interpreted the spillover rules (in the middle of 2008). Otherwise, you would see EB3 ICMP get at least 8K GCs in 2009.

2) 5 subscription cataegories under each EB category: I,P,C,M,ROW
) Assumption - USCIS distributes equal share amon3g these 5 different subscription categories = 40040/5 =8008 in each EB category for a particular subscription category.

EB3 All = 40040 ( 0.286 x 140000)
EB3 ALL = EB3 I + EB3 C + EB3 M + EB3 P + EB3 ROW
