You are right that there is no hope for EB3 India. But only as long as you and others in EB3 do not meet their lawmakers. Take part actively in action items. We have details of every local town hall meeting in your area and you can go there. We can help you set up your meeting with your lawmaker in his office. We can help you meet in their DC office if you want to get really active. We have several more details and ideas and need people to work on them.
FYI we never use the terms like EB2 or EB3 in our meetings with lawmakers. There is no priority in our agenda based on category or nationality. Well Pappu, the fact of the matter is nothing has been done specifically to help EB3-I/C/ROW. IV may be EB agnostic but EB3-I seems to have been stuck forever to the point of despair.
I and other EB3s have donated to most of the IV causes and campaigns. We have written to our Senators, reps, sponsors and co-sponsors of bills but nothing has helped.
If IV renews its focus to help EB3-I/C/ROW then you can expect more contributiuons from EB3s.
I do not want a lesson on EB3/EB2/EB1...there is no end to opinions on this forum. What I and other EB3-I/C/ROW want are results. Contributions, meeting the lawmakers, writing to politicians etc will kick in fourth gear if there is a reasonable advancement of dates for EB3-I/C/ROW.
BTW, your and other IV leaders' efforts are very much appreciated. All that I am saying is that IV should be focused on EB3-I/C/ROW (through tagging recapture to a bill or something) now that EB2 is getting help from USCIS spillover.

An idea:
Is it possible to recite the oath of citizenship in front of the senate en-masse? And maybe get some reporters to report the event..
Another, letter campaign, in which people will sign on the oath and snail mail to WH and also local senators
These might bring attention to us.. but feel free to knock it down (or ignore) if sounds absurd

How can we confirm the spillover interpretation. I am not familiar with the spillover rules but my understanding was that only if there in an excess in EB2 then the spillover gets down to EB3. Am I wrong or as per rules should spillover be distribued equally? If it has to be distributed equally then we need to do a mass mail or something and ask USCIS to explain. Even if 50 of us send letters to USCIS ther mihgt be some action.

I would just say, stay positive..in my case, I have more than 10 years of experience in specialized Healthcare IT area, with a masters degree and a PMP and I am struck in EB3 due to attorney screw up. I let out my frustration by concentrating on my career, finished my Masters and my PMP during this horrible wait. May be I wouldn't have done it if I was not waiting..We never know..Just send your thoughts in the positive direction and things will fall in place. Life goes on...

Got the PERM labor by 13 months. Applied on Dec 2005 got it now. Mine is EB2
I know EB2 is much slower than EB3 from what I have heard. Hence i was wondering how many ppl on EB3 have done their PERM recently?

Those whose PDs are getting close to the spillover time have time to waste on the forum on useless discussions. Others are busy in advocacy day and contributing. I would not be surprised that these antiIV folks will turn anti-immigrants once they get their greencards. They will not want more people to get greencards after them and compete with them and their children in job market.

Hundreds of members visit this website every day. I am just really surprised that we are having trouble getting people to participate in Advocacy Days and raising $50,000. It seems like a no-brainer to me to participate in whatever way possible.
There have been around 250 contributions so far. Some members have contributed a few hundred dollars each, with a couple of members contributing $500+ each, and some have pledged $100 for every $2500 or $5000 raised, just to help try and reach the target. They wouldn't have had to put in so much if everyone else chipped in.
I am really curious to know why you are not getting more involved and at least contributing financially to this effort if you cannot attend the Advocacy days. You are the beneficiary. What is holding you back from trying to do something tangible to help yourself, your family and your friends? Are you seriously going to tell me that it's not even worth $50 to you?
This is the best shot we are going to have in the next two years.
