Nope ur PD has to be current for them to process your AOS and Aug is already unavialable so there is no way they will process ur paperwork. Also I think within 60 days of AOS you can add spouse. You should talk to a lawyer and not use other people's judgement to decide to file or not to file. But, will there be a scenario where my AOS gets approved before my PD is current AGAIN? That is what I am afraid of.

Thanks for clarification. I still disagree with you. Media outlets do measure the intensity of the issue but not by amount of SPAM they receive in e-mails. From my personal experince in talking to a journalist, if you send them an e-mail regarding the issue they have published they will definitely defend their point or refute yours and may even look at the issue from your point of view but in all cases they will reply. Now if you want to bring an issue to their attention all you need is take their article and simply put your perspective on it. It will have a far greater impact if it comes as a collective voice of an Organisation such as IV. That's why I originally questioned our approach of spaming them by sending 1000's of e-mail with the same issue. It doesn't bring much to the table. Right ? That's precisely the reason why all organisations have a media relations person who represents the collective view of the entire organization and manage the press releases and all contacts with media.

Can someone please advice pros and cons, keeping in mind the forward movement of priority dates could be just for the month of June!
My 140 is still pending in NSC I have the option to quicky upgrade that to premium and then go for CP, what would be the course of action?
Also what are the wait times for CP in Mumbai India?

Whatever you do, please do not go for CP. Because if the dates go back before the CP process is over, you will be stuck without work authorization card and I-131. Keep in mind that you will not be able to change job even after applying for CP. This is what I think. I am sure others on the forum will share with you more about the difference between CP and AOS.

Agree on ur second point, however I was surprised with the context that "ok lets see how much we can buy the MS course and how soon can i finish it" as supposed to it will be great to do MS and lets see how I can furtherey ar my career with an added benefit of getting C in case of GC process.

How can some one further their career if they cannot take a higher qualification job because of AC21 constraints. MS or not i am sure that these people are qualified for better jobs, but they cannot advance their career because of lack of green card. To rectify that situation they are planning to do MS. So they are planning to do MS to further their career as you suggested which according to you is the right and moral way. I don't see any reason for surprise

No updates till sept 14th.
Got cencerned and on sept 14th called TSC created SR for non receipt of biometric appointment letter.(Only legal reason to complain as application is still under 90 days of application)
LUD on Sept 20th.

Well my story isn't really as bad some of the stories described here but the last 4 years of waiting for the freaking LC to clear has pretty much screwed up my wife's career. There have been days of utter frustration, fight and bad days for us because of the "dependent" visa.
Its not like my job is great either. I am stuck in the same position for the last 5 years because of the freaking labor certification. Looks like I will be stuck for another couple of years. If I bail out now and leave for India it will be hard to find a suitable position because I have been unable to move up because of GC and at the same time my wife will have the impossible task of finding a job after 4 years of unemployment.
For this reason I am wiling to gamble at least another year or two, so that my wife can work and I can get a better job and then we can start thinking about where we really want to settle :) Gosh, never knew trying to settle in US with a GC will be so unsettling :(

main issue for us now we had invested so much time on this f** GC, we can't bail out now, feel like we are so close,
for myself I don't have that much energy left in me to go back to start allover in India, worest case scenario I just want to stay couple of more years and save as much as possible and go back to India for semi/retirement

Only reason Attenborg's Gandhi was so magnificient is ...because it was an outsiders view on the life of gandhi...a less attached view of bapu's life.
If a desi had made that movie he would be overcome with his personal view of gandhi..
the movie on Gandhi is a masterpiece and slumdog is a piece of shit.
Credits to rehman for being brilliant as usual...but deifinitely this is not his best.
Slumdog made it to oscars only because a white dude directed it...if a Benegal or Mehra had directed it..it would never have made it past the shore..
My question to all the white trash out there..why are they so fasinated/amused by the poverty in asia or developing country.
