The oft-delayed White House immigration meeting is back on the schedule for tomorrow, and is expected to include congressional advocates of immigration reform from both parties.
Peter Wallsten wraps up Hispanic Democrats' frustration, but on balance, any mention of immigration continues to be, for now, a winning issue for Democrats, throwing salt into an open GOP wound.
Harry Reid says he has the votes for comprehensive reform, meanwhile, though the White House has downplayed the chances of getting it done � as Obama has pledged earlier � this year. An open question is whether Republicans have any ability to capitalize on that unfulfilled promise.

Does anyone know why USCIS has not released any processing dates in December. The last posting (at least for TSC) says that it was released on Nov 18th and dates are as of Sep 30th.
Is USCIS just going to skip December and consider a full month of holidays ?

ours was a paper filed on July 2nd. Card was mailed on 08/07/08. Still waiting for it to make it to the mail box.
I have not recieved any FP notice yet. Surprising I also saw a soft LUD on AP when care production got ordered for EAD but no updates on AP or FP yet.

Guys.. i'm sick of this nonsense.. I mean this is ridiculous.. this is my second go around in this stupid lottery.. last year I hadn't graduated so they put me in the bachelors quota.. this year the freaking masters quota is full.. i have a genuine offer from one of the big 4 accounting firms.. and have work experience to back it up
i'm sick of these consultant firms.. i wish I could work for the uscis and weed out these miserable cheapsters.. 6 years toiling in their education system, paying the damn taxes, and waiting for 1 smart person to come along and tell them its time to take care of these consultant companies and their consultants who get the jobs based on deceit and conmanship..
simple non sense.. random selection .. my behind..
I really feel like sending flowers to the uscis similar to what the indian folks did last year..

Guys I beg all of you to who have not voted to please vote. It might seem irrelevant or not useful to vote but even small things like these add up. We have threads like spelling bee going into multiple pages but not threads relevant and useful to us. Please vote not just for this but also have an open mind and participate in all activites. There is a thread where you can send a letter to whitehouse explaining our misery and asking for removal of country quota and visa recaprure, how many of you have sent the letter. Please do that .

If you want to help IV and in turn help yourself
step 1. setup atleast $25 recurring contribution to IV and become a Donor.
step 2. participate in your state chapter
if its not active ...make it active
step 3. coordinate with other volunteers and help with media outreach
or meet your local lawmakers along with fellow IV members to talk about our issues.
sure there are plenty of things IV could do better but it cannot happen without your active participation. People who get greened will leave cause they do have better things to do than to toil on for people who don't even appreciate their efforts on here. Some who are noble stick around to help.

I would like to know How to file a complaint about labor fraud? I just found out that my employer didn't file 485 for me and instead he used the labor for someone else. Is there anyway I can file a complaint? I have no other option except to wait until the dates are current again. I paid all the expenses for labor, 140 and 485.

To tell you honestly, my primary reason for joining this forum is to learn from others' experiences - whether it be good or bad.
I can also see the opinion of others regarding matters of my personal and general interests. It is my own judgment to believe some of it or not.
Joining the rally or givin' contribution is last in my interest as I do not have a job yet and no income.
We should start respecting one's opinion and one's life. Each of us has its own case and unique to each other. My suggestion to those inviting to the rally or seeking for contribution to do it via private message. That is a nice way of doing it.
When somebody starts a thread that you do not like, just ignore it instead of posting 'close this thread'. The thread has a life of its own. If it is not popular, then it will go down to the bottom of the line. If it is very interesting, many will subscribe to it and you will find it at the first page.
Cheers to all...we all have our own problems...some are here just to find comfort...

The first thing to do in call your attorney and ask him to be with you when any uscis or ice guy shows up. Right to an attorney is a basic right. Do not think that u will offend ice officer if u have u'r attorney present. Do not think that u'r charming personality will put u in the good books of ice. If I were u, I would not do anything, without consulting my attorney in such a matter.
Also, keep bank stmts and all recent paystubs handy, along with past exp. Letters and degree/certificates. Copiew of h1 + gc petition/approval would be good to have.

A suggestion. Pass it on to all your friends and colleagues who might be fellow travellers in this EB journey or may know someone who are, and sympathetic to the plight.
I have just done that....and will also call them and ask them to vote.
In the past, your friends may not have responded to such requests to vote or write to senators. Don't be disheartened. Everyone in this mess is suffering. So, keep asking friends nevertheless, to vote and express support.

Diid yu get an Answer for this my company might be applying in eb3 may be though i have masters degree in comp scince in USA , will this be of any help to folks like us.
How about this scenario:
EB3 applicant starts the Masters (in STEM) from US University after the labor is filed and completes while 485 is in pending status.
