My case is similar, July 2007 NSC filer, file was transferred to CSC, and then transferred back to NSC 2-3months later, but that was after they had mailed me the 485 receipt notice, EAD and AP.
I had called NSC a couple of weeks ago to inquire about my spouse's application, they informed me that the application was very much with them, it's cleared name check and it's waiting for it's turn so that a decision can be made.

"approvable" is the right term.
what if there is an rfe on the 140 when the case is not approved (but is approvable) and the employee has already quit? wont the 140 sponsor have to respond saying that employee nada exists? so, even though "approvabe" may be the right legalese, isnt "approved" more practical and relevant for us as beneficiaries.

I did call them several times in an attempt to talk to different individuals, but all them have said try contacting the area post office. I don't think area post office will be able to give any other information.
Are you considering to re-file the case. Or would u be waiting to get the packet back?

My PD is Jul 31, 2006 and I am going to add my wife to the application on June 1st. She is on H-4 right now.

I did not see any PO Box on the Fedex tracking sheet. I am not sure if she put the PO Box on the shipping label or not??

Great news! The Hatch widows bill (which removes the requirement that a couple must have been married for two years before a US citizen dies) passed and included in that bill were provisions extending the religious worker green card program and the Conrad 30 J-1 physician waiver program. Each of these programs were extended for three years. The EB-5 regional center program for immigrant investors was permanently reauthorized by the Senate yesterday. The House must agree to these amendments before they go to the President and I do not yet know whether the bill will go back to the House...

That is just plain impressive. I really didn't expect much improvement on this one. I just liked the way the sky changed colors at the rainbow. You can really see that now.

Gary, I think I did something similar. I couldn't tell if you masked it or not. In PS, I first selected all the sky with the magic wand, then expanded that selection 3 pixels, then put a 3 pixel feather on it, then inverted the selection so all the greenery was selected with a soft edge. I then put an adjustment layer bumping up the saturation. Finally, I filled the above selection with black on the adjustment layer's mask so the bump only applied to the sky. From there, it's a matter of taste for how much saturation is desired.

If you apply for extnsion, please keep in mind your parents stays in US until you receive their approval extension. If they travel outside the while case pending and if they try to renter before case is approved, they will deny at POE and cancel and 10 Year multiple visa. Be very careful here.
I applied for an extension for my mother-in-law. It was approved several months after her I-94 expiration date. But she left to India two days before her I-94 expiration date. I even sent a letter asking them to cancel/withdraw my application. They didnt care and went ahead and approved. When it came, it was pretty much useless!
What I heard was, when you apply for an extension, the stay after I-94 expiration date is approved by US Attorney general for certain number of days. We didn't pursue that option since we thought that it could jeopardize her subsequent trip.

Wow, I just tried the "yanks are coming" one. What the heck is that? Did you actually read all of that? I feel ashamed of myself when you say that. Maybe I am too busy or have very little patience. How about contacting companies to give us contact numbers of their employees who's green card is in process, then we can contact them and inform them about IV !

Here is what my company did -- I drafted an email to my colleagues about IV, and the head of our HR sent a BCC copy to all employees in the green card process. That way employee confidentiality is preserved and the word gets out.
As far as efforts to grow our membership go -- don't wait for someone to give you the greenlight -- take whatever initiative you can. It is small, step by step, individual grassroots efforts that make a difference.
If you feel we need to reach out to various groups and communities -- don't wait for someone else to do it -- organize such an effort yourself.

No. That is incorrect. A manager is responsible for managing people (besides other
duties). That is a totally different job description and different category for labor.
Some useful info:
* If you are on H1 and job description changes (like u become a manager), H1
amendmend MUST be filed.
* If you are using EAD, then company doesn't need to file anything. If a RFE comes,
you are required to show proof of job position with job description corresponding to
that of approved labor. If your company is ready to do that (or u can get that somehow),
