So this confirms FIRMLY that antis and BusinessWeek are working in tandem against legal immigration reform. Sometime back.. I read that BusinessWeek is for sale.. by McGraw Hill (its parent company). I wish.. that sale happens soon and let common sense prevail. Probably they are trying too hard to shore up their subscriber base by evoking the last resort.. creating sensation with meaningless issues.
If the sale takes place, it probably will be bought by either a Chinese or Indian company. Some dumb anti-immigrationists will try to block legal migration every possible way when most of their companies are either taking jobs overseas or getting sold to foreign companies. Go and find the source of what has destroyed the economy and try to fix it. No foreigner has ruined the economy.

Highly recommended especially, if your company pays for it (mine did not)!
I know lot of us have tough schedule but this bill will get rid of large pool-
I would think 30-35% - Why? Lets see EB1's are definitely out- Plus most EB2's (except Bachelors + 5 yrs exp guys) will be out.
Don't give me any Red dots over this- Just a humble opinion. So, lets says it gets rid of 30% in queue, it's as good as Increasing visas to 182K!

Don't worry. Most likely, it is USCIS error. Check why after 140 approval, they sent to DOS while you are in Adjust of Status? May be USCIS entered wrong in system and creating issue.
I would take INFOPASS and contact local Congressman.

Come on we need to learn to forget the cold war days. This is 21st century and the age of facebook and other social networking platforms. the world is getting more connected and there will soon be no place for fighter planes any more. What we need is "food" and "water".....
Nature is showing us again and again the futility of our ambitions (regional and international) through her rather quite infrequent thrashings these days....

PMP is a certification and is merely to Project and People Management. MBA is a Graduate Degree and pertains to Business Management. One cannot and should not compare a certification to a Degree.

I spoke with Uday, he has enrolled you as a State Chapter Member. There is a google/yahoo grp that each chapter leader maintains. You can directly contact Uday if you have any suggestions or he will contact you when there is any action item and the members of Ohio are participating. Ok, I've seen a lot of threads about go to the rally, actions items, I've reading a lot of guys saying dont ask for your receipt status, dont waste your time etc, etc.
Yes we did the rally we were great with all those signs, and appearing in the Indy TV but...
Question remains open:
1. When are they going to increase the GC quota?
2. When congress id going to do something?
I've the feeling that that's it we made our point but we are still with no GC, waiting receipts..............
Things don't happen overnight... From your questions it looks like you half expected lawmakers to come out in the rally and announce that we hereby increase visa numbers to ####. Things dont happen that way.
The rally put our issues in front of the lawmakers eyes so they can help in influencing and introducing legislation for us... and when they do, we need to be equally active as for the CIR with faxes and emails and calls to lawmakers...

The point is not about the way to get relief. There are multiple ways to achieve eligibility for EADs.
The point that I am trying to make is that every one of those ways requires legislation to be passed. Asking for EAD/AP through I485 filing even with visa number unavailability, is as good, if not better, than the other suggested methods.
I would really hesitate to ask for EADs for people still in labor cert. Our requirements, after much effort, were included in amendments simply because they are really technical adjustments to existing law. They do not increase the number of immigrants into the US and do not substantially change the process. Asking for EADs for people stuck in labor cert would be a substantial change in process, and would make it harder to get legislative sponsors.
