In other words those who choose to go through emp based CP or family based Green Card which US embassy issues, go through Indian hospitals in Mumbai and Delhi. Guys, please take attorney advise before rushing in to refile. Duplicate applications may create problems for you later on.
Imagine, given the huge retrogression how many countless times we will be refiling our EADs ad APs if we don't act now.
Many people are blissfully enjoying the fruits of labor of some very dedicated IV member who selflessly participated in San Jose rally and flower campaign. These efforts were instrumental in the July visa bulletin reversal. Isn't it time we all stood up for our rights and make a strategic impact through a legislative change rather then just be satisfied with a tactical July visa bulletin reversal win?

That is right, no need to file I-485 again. The format of I-485 has nothing to do with this. I am assuming he is just trying to make money by doing the additional paper work. A couple of my colleagues got their GCs that way in July and my employer is also in the process of filing my EB-2 I-140 under Premium Processing this week with a request to port my earlier EB-3 PD and a letter to USCIS requesting to adjudicate my pending I-485 under EB-2 preference, once EB-2 I-140 is approved. In my colleague's case, TSC approved both Eb-2 I-140 and pending I-485 (was at TSC as well) concurrently in July.

Though I have signed G28, I have received both AP and EAD. Attorney did not even know that I received my AP and EAD.
I think EADs are sent to the applicant and AP to the attorney...had the same in my case...plus seen lots of folks here say the same thing...

No surprises for me at least. There will be only 816 new EB3 visas available for any country in October. This will move the dates at the most by a month or two and this will continue for ever until a new legislation is passed, that is why DC rally is all the more important and everyone should focus on that to bring in a change.
For folks wondering how I came to the 816 visa number
Total GC available = 140000
7% country limit = 9800
split for EB3 = 3266
spread for each qtr = 816
Good Luck to all and don't have high expectations because you will be disappointed when the bulletin comes out.
spread it for each month = 272.
number of families per month (assuming 2.5 persons per family): 109 :(

You dont have to apply for your labor again and again....Its just that, once you get your I-140 approved, you will have to wait for dates to become current to file I-485...

State chapters are a great mechanism to communicate with other members in your state and district. Please use that if it works for you.
However, if you cannot find someone to go with you, then go alone. Many of the meetings we do in Washington, sometimes we get appointments from 2 or 3 offices at the same time. In that case we split up and only one person goes to meet the lawmakers or staffers. But we cannot lose opportunities or miss opportunities.
So go alone if there is no one else in your district to go with you.

I initially went to FedEx/Kinkos new jersey, paid 50 bucks for myself and wife 6 copies each. Photos were horrible with yellow tinge, though they were of the correct specs. I refused to accept it, but they said if there are any issues they will be glad to help, but I had to pay for their crap.
Then I went to Sears, around 60$ for 6 copies each for myself and wife. The prints were excellent, waterproof and not retouched. They printed it out on immigration specified sheets. Only catch was I had to cut out the photos myself, they are not allowd to cut them.

where are you guys taking these? Fedex kinko's would be fine? any pointers in the NY-NJ area?

I know that other than the GC and the passport...you don't need any other document. I guess your question can be interpreted as ...would those other documents help if you somehow lose your GC while traveling outside?
