I think If any Univercity needs total X credits to finish US MS then that univercity counts How many credits (Y) one has earned from his past education. So X-Y gives how many more need to earned to finish MS.

I received my EAD last month. But no AP yet. However, i received an email from my lawyer today that.....my AP got rejected. The rejection letter is saying that I485 got approved that's why the I131 is rejected.....therefore, my lawyer is waiting for the I485 approval.....but my lawyer told me that I can expect my card soon.
I don't know how to react. The online doesn't have any update about the I485 status yet. They received my application on July 2, 2007.

Which center did u visit in PA?? I'm from PA also DL expires 9/30/07 along with H1..
PennDot Issued 1 year driver's license for both me and my wife. We took H1B 8th year original receipt notice, original employer verification letter and passports. PennDot issued 1 year license based on that. Everything took less than 15 minutes.Please make sure your employer verification letter states your employment duration i.e. how long your company intents to employ you.

I also got a RFE from nabreska , but finally got approved.

2. Experience required for the position
3. Did you get your MCA evaluated to US master's? If so, could you give the name of the agency?
4. Did you use experience gained from the employer to file EB2?

If tomorrow there is a bill to stop all H1B from coming to USA or to make life difficult for H1B, do you really think we will keep quiet just because we have filed our greencards?
Do you know IV worked hard for decoupling of H4 time from H1 in 2006 and we thought nothing may happen and started to focus on next action item. Then few months later it was changed. That was the first small step.
I would appreciate if you ask your spouse if she/he can volunteer time for IV. You both can get more involved. Send us an email if you are interested. We are always interested in people who can volunteer more time than us (We do full time jobs too. A couple of us also are enrolled in a part time degree program). We are willing to have such an H4 be a leader in IV.
IV is a platform that will allow you voice your plight. But you will need to come forward and be willing to actively work on it with others. If the strategy is right, you are committed and have right intentions there is no reason why IV will not help.

I received my EAD last month. But no AP yet. However, i received an email from my lawyer today that.....my AP got rejected. This is called waste of brain power ... cramming as much as you can from the dictionary and god knows what. It would have been much better if a child learns some skill or diverts the mind towards exploring a problem or invention . What use is cramming the dictionary when it is available right on your phone now . If you have the internet all the world's knowledge is searchable.

If you were not told the correct bill rate, you can recover that money. Simply ask them in writing to show you the contract since you are on 70/30 basis. The written contracts, oral contracts, emails all stand in the court but how will you prove an oral contract? If you have found an offer that meets your expectations just quit. We all make the same mistakes. We spend our time on working out things where they are not working. Just "quietly" without your employer getting a hint, find a job and quit.

'Technically' once six months are completed at the employer on whose job the I-485 has been submitted - we should be good. But the issue is AC21 process is not a well streamlined one - no forms etc. Earlier the volume of these cases might be very low for USCIS; now after the July 2007 there are lot more people in the I-485 stage and recent economic conditions could have contributed to large number of people using/potentially using AC21 process to change jobs. Heard many issues - hope USCIS will streamline the process for AC21 job change issues.

Recently I met one friend. He was visiting his friend for vacation in New Orelans. When he was washing his hands in the rest room (in a shopping complex or Mall), suddenly he saw 3 or 4 guys surrounding him, hit him and took away his vallet and cell phone. Within a short time his credit card was used for a huge money around $2000. He was hit so bad that his nose bones broke into pieces and he has metal installed now for him to breath properly. I am not sure if this is due to bad economy or enemity over immigrants.
New Orleans was already in a bad shape due to Hurricane Katrina. Crime there is very high after what it went through. Anyway all these attacks have more to do with robbery ( or altercations ) rather than legal immigration attacks. The attackers don't care while attacking you whether you are here legally or illegally.
