We got "Approval Notice Sent" emails 6 days back. I received my EAD 3 days back but haven't received my wife's yet.
Has anyone filed for Replacement EAD? Do we need to wait 30 days from the date we received the approval email? How long does it take usually to receive a Replacement card?
Please share your experiences.

"Card production ordered" is the first status that you will see and then it will change to "Approval notice sent". Tentatively, Your card will be postmarked with the date when your status changed to "Approval notice sent" and it takes upto 4 calendar days to receive the card through mail. Usually, approval notice goes to attorney on file for 765, if you have filed G28 otherwise you will receive it. Call USCIS and find out whether the card is ordered then ask for follow-up actions and decide whether to file for replacement card. There is no separate form for replacement cards - you will still be using same 765 form; I guess, same processing time applies - you may expedite by taking infopass after receiving the receipt notice for your replacement card by providing the letter from the employer. Hope this helps.

Thanks, You are right I havent applied for my I485 yet. I am only concerened about when I return back to US, will there is any issues at POE due to my long absence on H1B?

You can't maintain H-1B status while physically residing in India. But, you can still have your GC process running.
An absence won't be of any consequence as long as the visa is valid and you are employed by the same employer.

Here is my situation:
My sponsoring company 'A' was acquired by company 'B' last month and name changed to company 'B' with B's pay stubs.
Am on H1 now and i applied my 485 in August 2007 with 140 approved in May 2007.
Company B informed me that they informed USCIS regarding the acquisition(i don't what they mean !!).
Questions:
1. How is my green card process proceeds with company 'B'? Should the company 'B' file I140 amendment or is there any thing they have to take care?
2. Can i join with company 'C' by invoking AC21?
Please share your thoughts and experiences.

THe process has changed the passport are now delivered the next day between 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Mumbai consulate no longer delivers the passport the same day of interview.

AP is a very important document for re-entry incase if you don't have backup such as valid H1B visa. Have read quite a few cases here of people who wait till the last day for applying the renewal and then crying when an emergency occurs and they don't have valid a AP. It is in our best interest to apply it 120 days before its expiration date.
We are planning to go to India in the last week of September. My current AP expires by Oct 10. Hence applying for a new one. How long are AP approvals taking now a days at TSC.

Guys..i have noticed that so many other members has already been complained about the getting Red dots for no reason...i got the red for this post for just a spell mistake. This is too much and IV has to do some thing about this. Otherwise people will afraid or not be willing to post their opinions here...

As per my attorney, even if you enter the country on AP, your status can still remain H1, if you are using it to work (instead of EAD).
How one can distinguish if I am paid via H1 or EAD ? both are linked to Same SSN and IRS go by SSN.
Am i missing something?

Even I had considered the idea of translating the BC myself or getting my friend to do it for me...but my lawyer suggested that BC is a very important document and USCIS is very particular about it. so it would be better if you get it done through a professional agency.

You nearly aged out but since your priority date became current before your 21st birthday, you should be eligible to get an immigrant visa. CSPA protects you here. Also they should deduct about four months (period your father's I140 was outstanding) from your current age. This makes you eligible for a visa. See what happens at your next appointment but ask your Dad to talk to an immigration attorney in the US.

I am not getting any appointment in June with any doctor within 60 miles from my place. So I took an appointment with a doc 70+ miles away for end of june. The only problem is I need to go twice 70 miles one way. The clinic suggested I do the blood work in nearby county clinic, but the county clinic wants 7-10 days to get results of blood work. I asked them for HIV and Sephallius test to be done. I already got TB Skin test(tested negative) done at county clinic.
Can someone please tell what all blood tests need to be done, so I can check if any other doctor can do the blood work and I can save one 70 mile trip . Thanks.

if the AC21 is less then 6 months like for example a person had filed I140 and I1485 but 140 got approved after 3 months and the person had lost his job in the 5th month due to company shutdown and the person moved on to another company using AC21, will there be any issue during naturalization.
