It appears that you are cracking a joke, but I cannot stop from replying to your post. Why are you asking God to save IV? For the things we cannot do or for the things we dcon't understand, why do we always have to bring in 'God' in the picture? Can't we even crack a joke without brining in God?
I am just trying to prevent world war III on these forums. Thats why my request for not referring "God'. We will all be much more happier funnier and peaceful if we try not to bring in 'God' in the mix.

I don't know how to open a thread to run a poll to track the number of people ready to send flowers to white house/president to highlight our case to buy houses if there is a a provision to approve GCs on a fast-track basis. With a substantial fast track fee (>4000 dollars) and 20% down payment toward house payment, we have a strong case. If we get hundreds of people ready to send to flowers, may be IV can make it an action item.
In overall picture of the country for housing and financial fix, number of EB's waiting for GC is miniscule. Giving every EB waiting a GC is not going to instantly change the mindset of the rest of the US people. People are not buying homes, because those who would have bought homes in 2008, 09, 10...bought in 2005 and 2006, as they didn't want to be left out, moving demand forward. Now we have a lot more homes and demand for years to come. Home prices will stay soft for at least 5 years.

No votes for 2003 and earlier. If this sample reflects reality, thats good news, dates should not retrogress too far back. Quite a few 2004 cases, but with the dates for them going current next month, hopefully many of these people get approved, and the queue moves ahead...

I'm went to the infopass website to make an appointment for interim EAD; I chose the "Washington Field Office" since I live in the DC Metro area. There are no appointments available in Aug and Sep!

Is there any way EB2 can be filed. What should I tell my compary lawyer? I told him my friends in other companies are able to file EB2. they are also software developers. He says "The other companies should not be able to file EB2 for software engineers but I can't say what another company's hiring history would allow and what they are willing to risk in filing a case which surpasses the minimum requirements allowed by DOL."
How do I convince him. Is there any documentation or link which I can show him which states that software developers can file EB2?

My job was advertized as Bachelor plus four years experience even though HR agreed it required 5 years experience. God save us from fat a** corporate lawyers.

Dates for Eb2 india will touch early 2005. And dates will not move back from that point for rest of year. Of course it will move forward again in Aug 2009 bulletin.
No hopes for Eb3 india .. It will move only for days or months ( 2-3 ) .
Eb2 china will see either end of 2005 or early 2006.

If my priority date is retrogressed at the time of processing my EAD and AP, will USCIS keep the EAD and AP on hold? Or will they process EAD and AP and hold the I485?

I have money crunch in US. I have accumulated huge debt in my CC. Even if its multiplied by 100 we should be ok, if the USCIS does a good of not waisting visas by doing their best in the month of Sep. Say we have 6500 * 2 .25 (Family) = 15000people waiting from EB2 2004. Looking at the spillover numbers from last year, we might be lucky enough. Just trying to be optimistic for the next 35 days.
We received our 2nd biometric appointment notice for Sep 11th. Our Notice date is Sep 19th 2007. Just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for something good. :)

I have purchased 4 firearms during my nonimmigrant status, including a handgun. Nonimmigrants can generally not own firearms in the US. Though, there is an exception to the law if you possess a valid hunting license and have resided in the US for more than 90 days. I took a hunting class, which was a prerequisite for the hunting license and also had very good firearm safety information.
For long-guns, you will need some paperwork before you go to the gunshop (utility bills from at least last 90 days, hunting license, Driver's license, your I-94 number). The background check will probably be delayed a day or two while FBI checks your immigration status. Your gun seller will call you when they get the ok.
For handguns, there may be additional paperwork. I had to apply for handgun permits with the local sheriff's office. The person you first deal with will probably be unaware of the exception for individuals with hunting licenses. You will probably need to take a copy of the law (ICE has a pamphlet on firearm laws for nonimmigrants, take a copy with you) and talk to a supervisor. Once you get the permit you take the permit and your DL to the gun seller plus all the paperwork I listed for long gun purchase. Let me know if you have additional questions. Good luck.

I guess green-card is a more lethal weapon than a handgun.

I am joining with Tek systems and they don't give as permanent position in offer letter rather just said contractor.. but I am full time with my current employer.
Do you think its going to be any problem from changing Full time to Contractor?
AC21 letter - wording is very important - the offer MUST be Permanant fulltime and the prospects for future employment must also be good - this is exactly what they request in a RFE or a NOID.
If your letter says it is temporary position, you will have issues.
