A month is a good time, but who will leave one month's pay for nothing knowing that it will have bad affect on US congressman and politics and will act negatively on any provisions that are being planned in CIR. And on top of it most of us are single income family's because of the so called H4 status being continues for decades. :--) with no hope and sight for EAD.

buddy...iv core are not magicians, they have lives too. so please stop asking for more. when you say "iv has the luxury" hopefully you mean all 25,000 who make up iv. the core is not iv. they are just volunteers already breaking their backs...
there are good reasons for the temporary stops to the checks. everything need not be publicly anounced. please leave it at that.
and while we are at it...we need help with the leg work...please complete your profile so we can get you involved with some of it...it would be great to have you as a volunteer!

I've learned a great deal about immigration from the forum here. I very much appreciate it. I try to give back by answering questions others may have. I think IV has been doing a great job serving as that capacity.

I concur with you 100%, they are just trying to instigate IV and other members to make a wrong move. People in U.S forget that everyone is an immigrant and this country is a land of immigrants. This really informs us about the people, their education system and finally the implementation of the knowledge gained from that education.
Modern way of thinking is not about ipods, laptops and Hd dvd players, but it about thinking from a broader perspective and changing your thinking over time.

Thanks for all the inputs. I still have not received the letter ( probably because of winter strom - delay with traffic) .
Now if the Deniel is because of AC21 and 140 revoke , when we reply with MTR, should I sent copy of the AC21 letter we sent before or do we need to sent a fresh one ( employment verification letter ) ? The reason I ask this is when we originaly filed AC21 docs ( in Feb 2008) I was with Company2 . Now I am with company 3 ( just 2 months ). And good part of is company3 is well aware about the "same or similar " letter and is ready to issue the letter .

Its better to send as much documentation as possible in a systematic way. What I did with my friend's appeal was I created a document in a tabular format with each row referring to the points mentioned in the denial notice and providing a brief explanation and referring each point to an Appendix which contained detail explanation and corresponding evidence/documentation (W2, pay-stubs, exp letters etc) supporting the explanation. You can do the same. Infact, I encourage you to provide evidence of your AC21 filing with Company1 which affirms that you indeed followed the AC21 guidelines from your perspective. Do also provide evidence of continued employment in same or similar occupation till your most recent/current employment.
One more thing you should keep in mind is the deadline for filing the appeal. No matter when you receive the denial notice, usually, you only have 33 days from the denial date to file the appeal. So, I would encourage you to do whatever possible from your side to know the reason/s for denial so you can start working on collecting the appropriate paperwork for the appeal. Maybe taking an InfoPass appointment might help. I am not sure of any other options.

I work for Fortune 100 company and we are celebrating Diwali on Friday. There are flyers on all the corners and are expecting more than 500 co-workers for pot-luck lunch. And the best part, organizer and main activists are non-Indian. So its just another festival in the mix that everybody is looking to enjoy. Skilled, Legal Immigrants Tangled in Illegal Immigration Mess
The debate over what to do about the millions of illegal immigrants in this country has occupied much of the public mind share over the past year, including press coverage, demonstrations, and debate and legislation at all levels of government. Drowned out by all the noise over illegal immigration is an issue of critical importance to American industry and tens of thousands of hopeful would-be citizens: the legal immigration system for skilled workers is badly broken and in need of an overhaul.
Of the on-average 850,000 green cards doled out annually over the past decade, approximately 16% (140,000 / yr), are allocated to so-called �skilled workers� - nurses, engineers, medical researchers, and a variety of other professionals. They have at least a bachelor�s degree, typically in a technical discipline, and many have master�s degrees or doctorates and significant experience in their fields. These workers pay taxes and health insurance, are educated and law-abiding, and they contribute to their communities. Most importantly, they help drive economic growth by supplying critical skills to US industry in an increasingly competitive global market.
Contrary to what some alarmists will have you believe, these workers are not stealing American jobs. They are brought to the US by American-owned companies who can�t find sufficiently skilled US workers. The US Department of Labor (USDOL) requires the employer to prove that there are no suitably qualified US workers available before allowing the foreign worker to be hired. Skilled green card applicants are also not �cheap labor�. The employer is required by law to pay at least as much as they would pay a comparably qualified US worker. This wage is established by survey and audited by USDOL. Anti-immigration rhetoric simply does not hold up to scrutiny when compared with realities of the legal immigration process.
The green card process for skilled workers has traditionally taken 18-24 months. However, many current applicants are facing waits of 5 years or more due to bureaucratic bottlenecks at the Department of Labor, US Citizenship and Immigration Services, and even the FBI. Recent attempts to fix the legal green card process have become mired in politics over what to do about illegal immigrants. For example, a number of measures that would have helped US corporations sponsor legal green card applicants were included in the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (CIRA) of 2006. However, after passing in the Senate last year, this bill ground to a halt in the House because it provided a path to citizenship for illegal aliens, a measure strongly opposed by many US Representatives.
Legal green card applicants are hopeful that Comprehensive Immigration Reform will be re-visited in 2007 and get a much warmer reception now that the US House of Representatives is controlled by the Democrats. Measures in the bill introduced last year would help to restore the green card process back to traditional 18-24 month wait times, allowing immigrants to get on with their lives and integrate fully with the US workforce in a timely fashion. Highly skilled, legal workers are good for the economy, good for our communities, and good for American industry in an increasingly competitive global economy. No I did not forget the pain of that LC. And I'll never forget that in my life either. All that I said was we should prioritize our issues. If everybody says PBEC issue is the once that should get more focus, I've no problem with that
either.
All that I was trying to say is that now is the time to take care of retrogression. If we miss this chance
we may have to wait a long time. We will get more time to work on BECs down the lane. And nobody is
seeing BEC issue a non serious one. Everybody understands it.

I got a FP notice for next month. It is certainly not related to AP or EAD renewal, since I don't have any pending AP or EAD renewal. I got my EAD renewed last March and AP in May. So hoping that I got the FP notice since they started looking at my 485 application and something positive will be end result.
